The Saints of Sanda Fey had just finished witnessing a brutal defeat of the Rabbit Mafia by the hands of Ash Winters after the Tombflats tournament. The survivors warned the party that Ash would be on his way to Sanda Fey to finish off the Rabbit Mafia once and for all. They knew that if they didn't make it to Sanda Fey before Ash, it could be all over for them, so they made a deal with a devil.

Zedrith the arch devil, who called the Deadlands home, offered them a ride on his Devil Train for the cost of several thousand gold. The train would get them to Sanda Fey a day before Ash Winters, but Ash had seen that coming and planned accordingly.
